A Taste of ACT: An Introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Workshop

This introductory workshop on ACT provides information on how to conceptualize from an ACT perspective and some tools to help clients get out of their heads and start living. The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the functional contextualism and relational framework theory underpinnings of ACT, and how an understanding of these can aid therapy. The workshop then introduces the hexaflex and moves through each of these 6 processes, providing information flexible versus inflexible presentations and tools that can be sued to move a client towards flexibility in relation to that process.
